Dell BSAFE Product Version Lifecycle

This page describes the lifecycle for Dell BSAFE products (formerly RSA BSAFE).

Lifecycle stages:

• Primary Support: Standard maintenance support applies, providing bugfixes and security fixes.
• Limited Support: Critical security issues are remediated, per policies defined in the Dell Vulnerability Response Policy standard. Critical-only releases, patch, or service releases may be delivered, at Dell's discretion. Final resolution to any issue may require upgrading to a more recent version addressing the issue, or to have the issue addressed in.
  When reaching the end of the Limited Support period, the product reaches its End Of Service Life, also known as End Of Life.
• End Of Service Life: Support is no longer provided. No release, patch, or service release is delivered. Security vulnerabilities are not investigated or remediated.
• End Of Security Life: Same as End Of Service Life, no security updates or CVE investigation done beyond End Of Service Life.

Definitions:

• EOPS: End Of Primary Support
• EOLS: End Of Limited Support
• EOSL: End Of Service Life

Notes:

• All end of support dates are reached at the end of the stated month.
• Dates are subject to change without notice.
• For currently-supported BSAFE products and versions below, if a vendor discontinues mainstream support for an operating system and platform combination, then Dell BSAFE product platform support shall also be discontinued as of the same date.
